Katrina Kaif has refuted all reports that she will don a bikini in Dostana 2. "I am not wearing any bikini... sorry," Katrina said at an event in Mumbai earlier this week.

In fact, she even refuted rumors that she has signed Dostana 2. "There is no truth to any of these Bollywood rumors," she said quashing reports that producer Karan Johar and director Tarun Mansukhani have actually signed her for the film.

While sources insist that Mansukhani and Johar are still in talks with Katrina to star in the film, the director said the casting would be decided only after the final draft of the screenplay is ready. "I won't be able to comment on Katrina being a part of my film or her bikini act. I will be wrapping up my screenplay by the end of February. Till then, I can't say anything about Dostana 2 or its star cast," director Mansukhani added.

However, it's believed that if Katrina indeed agrees to take up Dostana 2, she will don a very good look in the film.

Reports are rife that if Katrina does the film, designer Manish Malhotra will work on her beachwear.

Of late, bikinis have become Bollywood's latest hit mantra.

While Deepika Padukone hit the headlines with the buzz that she will don a bikini in Sajid Khan Upcoming Bollywood Movie Housefull, Hot Lara Dutta wore a bikini last year in Blue. Jiah Khan will also flaunt it in two-piece attires in Housefull. Hot Kareena Kapoor and Hot Bipasha Basu hit the bikini trail with Tashan and Dhoom 2 respectively.

Also, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was seen in a bikini top teamed with micro minis in Dhoom 2 while Rani Mukherji wore a bikini top last year in Dil Bole Hadippa. Hot Priyanka Chopra wore a golden swimsuit in Dostana. Hollywood star Denise Richards, famous as a former James Bond babe, and Amrita Arora too wore bikinis in the 2009 dud, Kambakkht Ishq. Among upcoming films, newcomers Neeru Singh and Aruna Shields will be seen in bikinis in Vivek Oberoi Upcoming Movie in 2010, Prince-It’s Showtime.

"Bikinis have always been a hot proposition ever since Sharmila Tagore and Zeenat Aman wore them in An Evening in Paris and Qurbaani respectively. I don't see anything wrong if bikinis are needed in a movie," said Sajid.

Katrina, of course, did wear a bikini top in her 2003 debut film, Boom, but that was long before she became a superstar.

In the meantime, Katrina has signed up Farah Khan Bollywood Upcoming Movie Tees Maar Khan opposite her favorite co-star Akshay Kumar.

Farah has said that she was looking for "a girl just like Katrina". The actress is also busy wrapping up Prakash Jha's ambitious Raajneeti, which also stars Bollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor.
